THE X Factor’s youngest ever winner, Louisa Johnson, has been named as a special guest support at Little Mix’s sold-out Caldicot Castle concert this summer.

They will also be joined on Thursday, July 13, by Australian band, Sheppard, who supported Justin Bieber Down Under.

Since her 2015 X Factor win at the age of 17, Louisa Johnson has enjoyed chart hits with Forever Young and So Good, featured on the Clean Bandit top five single Tears and has recently released her new single Best Behaviour.

Sheppard are the Brisbane six-piece behind 2014’s viral hit Geronimo and consist of siblings George, Amy and Emma Sheppard, Jason Bovino, Michael Butler and Dean Gordon.

The 800-year-old castle will rock to the sound of music throughout July, with Britpop favourites Toploader and Space set to join Ocean Colour Scene at the venue two days after the Little Mix show on Saturday, July 15.

The venue is also hosting an ‘80s Retro Festival the week before on Friday, July 7, featuring Jason Donovan, Imagination, Tony Hadley, One Night of Queen and The Human League, while local band Rusty Shackle will play to a sold-out crowd inside the castle walls on Friday, July 14, and Only Men Aloud will perform in the atmospheric setting on Sunday, July 16.

Tickets can be bought from www.caldicotcastle.co.uk

Dan Davies, the council’s officer with responsibility for events across Monmouthshire and Caldicot Castle, said: “We’re in for an incredible July in Caldicot as 25,000 people will descend on the town across the 10 days.

“The castle is a brilliant place to visit and we look forward to showing it off to thousands this year.”
