Exiles banished by Court action

AN all-round performance by Highnam Court set Forest Exiles a mountain of a target.

The visitors posted one century and two half centuries along with two three-wicket hauls after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Pramey Jain was top scorer with 115 with Waqar Mirza scoring 65 and Neil Jellyman an unbeaten 56.

Jason Mosley shone with the ball, claiming 3-35 and taking three catches while Mirza added 3-36 to his batting performance while Jain also took two wickets.

Jain was caught by Joe Worgan off the bowling of Rich James while it was a Worgan delivery that saw Mirza caught by Ross Barnett.

Barnett also claimed the wicket of opener Nicholas Scott who was run out for five.

The leading Exiles bowler was Ross Keddle who bowled Matthew Kemp for four and Ashley Hathaway before he got a run on the board.

Stefan Jolley scored 24 for Highnam and was caught by Ed Aldridge off the bowling of Harry Barnett while Jason Mosley was still at the crease on 15 with Jellyman when the innings closed.

Barnett was the home side’s top scorer, making it to 33 when bowled by Mosley who also took the stumps of Roy Morgan on four and tempted Connor Brackpool into a shot which was caught by Stefan Jolley on 13.

Mosley combined with Mirza to catch Ross Keddle for 23, Joe Worgan for 12 and Rich James for four.

Jain had Ed Aldridge lbw for 29 and Harry Barnett caught by Matthew Kemp for two.

The other bowlers to claim wickets were Peter Whyard who bowled Darren McCoy for five and Paul Warren who bowled Pete Clark for a duck.
