A SECOND Lottery player has won more than £100,000 with a ticket bought in Monmouthshire – but he or she doesn't know it.

Last week we reported on the £102,000 EuroMillions win for a group of workers from the Mabey Bridge wind turbine plant in Chepstow.

Now it has emerged that a second ticket bought in the same draw was also a winner.

A Lottery spokesperson told the Review: "That was the prize for matching five numbers and one Lucky Star and there were 24 winners across Europe.

"It is unusual to have more than one winner in a relatively small area but it is a lottery."

The search is now on to find the owner of the winning ticket from the draw on Friday, June 8.

Camelot say that for security reasons they cannot be any more specific about where the ticket was bought.

The winner has until 11pm on Wednesday, December 5 to claim the life-enhancing prize.

A Lottery spokeperson said: "We're desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody's life. "We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

"Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.

"We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win."

Winners have a 180-day deadline to claim and anyone who thinks they have won should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before deadline, the prize money, plus interest, will go to the National Lottery good causes – adding to the £28 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since the National Lottery launched in November 1994.

The winning numbers were 5, 11, 22, 34, 40.

A syndicate of 32 workers from Mabey Bridge shared £102, 897.70 in the June 8 draw giving them £3,215.55 each.
