I SPEND many hours everyday with my dog in the woods and delight in seeing the boar most days, without incident, or even the suggestion of.

The Forestry, I believe, once engaged the Germans to dispatch our deer, the Germans willing to pay handsomely for the opportunity. Currently, our forest rangers can be found skulking around at all hours trying to quell the ignorant screams of ill-informed locals, brandishing their rifles.

And, for weeks now, guardians of our countryside have been "holding up" woodlands and maize fields, cub hunting. A now illegal activity. It is conducted any time after 6am, something hunts will vehemently deny, but that does not change the activity as I can testify first hand.

It's nothing short of "rich" to moan about the mess the boar make whilst foraging for food. The filthiest animal on our planet is "mankind" who discards anything from takeaway rubbish, lager cans, bottles, even decanting the contents of their cars into a plastic bag and chucking that onto the verges. Then there's fridges, mattresses and car tyres. Need I go on? These people know who they are!

Murder is a crime not a sport! And on a personal note, I feel quite ashamed to be a human. Animals aren't driven by greed or money. They take only from life what they need to survive and live in harmony with their surroundings.

Arrogant man would do well to learn from our wildlife. He is not the most intelligent animal on this planet despite his obvious delusions.
