LAKERS School welcomed back former deputy headteacher Stephen Timbrell, now headteacher at the Bluecoat School in Coventry, to present former pupils with their GCSE certificates.

In his address Mr Timbrell praised pupils for their successes and noted that once again Lakers' pupils had achieved at a particularly high level.

Special mention was given to Katie Hughes, Stephanie Cackett, Louise Davey and Michelle Goode, who passed GCSE Geography a year early after studying the subject in special classes held at the end of the school day.
