AN 11th birthday bash will have extra meaning for Bo-Peeps Day Nursery this Saturday (July 23) as they also raise money for a Drybrook lad who was involved in a serious car crash two years ago.
Staff at Bo-Peeps in Cinderford will be hosting their event in conjunction with a charity evening, for Bo-Peeps and Alex Telling Evans transport fund, at Cinderford Rugby Club.
After discussions with the staff and families at the nursery it was decided that the Alex Telling Evans transport fund was something close to everyone’s heart.
Fred Boseley, director, said: “Alex’s family were extremely involved with the start up and development of the nursery. They are very good friends with some of the staff and the nursery has accommodated Alex’s siblings over the years.”
Alex was only 18 years-old when he suffered life changing injuries in a car accident with friends.
Fred said: “Alex will be turning 21 years-old in November and resides in The Dean Neurological Centre, Gloucester he has not been home since the accident.
“The money raised would go towards a wheelchair-friendly vehicle to enable the family to take him home and on trips.
“Staff and management hope that all our families and contacts, old and new, will attend and support this event. This story will inspire empathy and touch the hearts of many near and far. We have set up a justgiving page which we hope will reach beyond the nursery contacts and Bo-Peeps staff. Alex’s family greatly appreciate any help.”
