A GROUP of school pupils took some festive treats to residents of a sheltered housing complex.
The pupils, from Years Seven to 11 at Chepstow School, visited residents at The Reddings in Bulwark.
Some of the youngsters entertained the residents by singing carols while others impressed with their skills playing instruments.
They also served tea, coffee and treats and spent time chatting with residents.
Resident Gwen Williams said: “It’s been lovely to have the children here and hearing them sing and play the instruments.”
Mel Andrews, the school’s student progress leader for Severn house, said: “I was very proud of them. The students were very polite and respectful, sat and listened to the stories and told a few of their own.
“It was great for the residents to see our Severn House students in a positive way, and being served tea, coffee and cakes by them was a bonus.
“There were lots of smiles all round – the residents have asked us back at Easter so we must have made a fabulous impression.”
