A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 37-year-old Lydney man accused of drug driving.

Shaun Ellis of Hopes Close, Lydney, was due before Cheltenham Magistrates Court last week to face a charge of driving a Vauxhall Astra in the town's Newerne Street when he was over the limit for Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis).

Ellis, who is alleged to have committed the offence on 15th March this year, has not yet entered a plea to the charge.

In his absence, the magistrates issued a warrant without bail for his arrest.
