THROUGH your letters page, I would like to thank the returning officer of Forest of Dean District Council and her staff for organising and administering the election for the Town Council seat of Lydney North.

I would also like to congratulate James Bevan on being elected to represent the people of the ward.

I would finally like to express my appreciation for the electors of Lydney North who trusted me with their support.

Forest of Dean UKIP will continue to work hard for the people of the area.
