A HUGELY improved entry of historic vehicles from the Forest kept Lydney Road and Rail Show judges mulling things over for at least half an hour longer than in past years.
And the local entries showed well in the prize list too, said commercial director and press officer John White.
"It was good to see," he said. "We had a very good day, and the only disappointing thing was the overall gate which was 1,750 when normally we expect it to be 2,000.
"Although it was sunny here from the morning right through until we finished it was unfortunately raining all around, and people don't like setting off in the rain."
