PUPILS kick started their school week with a taste of the rainforest.

Sue Shaw, from Rainforest Roadshow, spent the day sharing her experience and knowledge with children at English Bicknor Primary School.

She not only shared artefacts and stories but also gave pupils the chance to handle some creatures accustomed to the rainforest, including live stick insects and a millipede.

Year Four pupil Ruby Johnston said: “It was really good to learn about the rainforest from someone who has been there.”
