GRANTS aimed at initiatives to reduce crime and the fear of crime are now available for organisations and community groups to apply for.

The Forest of Dean Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is offering funding, made available by the Gloucestershire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Not-for-profit voluntary and community groups – both constituted and non-constituted – are welcome to apply.

Constituted groups can apply for up to a maximum grant of £7,300 and non-constituted groups can apply for up to £500.

Councillor Paul Kay, chairman of the Forest of Dean CSP, said: “The PCC and the CSP look forward to receiving applications from groups that can demonstrate creative ways to embed community safety into the local area.

“We are particularly keen to receive applications from small informal groups who carry out lots of important work for the benefit of residents and businesses in the district.”

Application packs are available to download from www.fdean.gov.
