ON Tuesday, August 22 when I returned home from shopping at Tesco, I realised I did not have my purse.

Anyone who has lost a purse will know the shock and upset I felt.

I hurried back to Tesco, as fast as I was able and, at the customer service desk, found my purse had been handed in intact.

The person who had done this had not left a name, so I would like to thank them through your newspaper.

I was, and am, so very grateful, not only for the return of my money and card, but also that they have confirmed for me that the goodness of human nature is still around us.
