FOREST MP Mark Harper has been made a return to the government six months after resigning as immigration minister.

Mr Harper was given a junior ministerial post in the Department of Work and Pensions in David Cameron's reshuffle earlier this week.

He resigned as immigration minister in February after it emerged his cleaner did not have indefinite leave to stay in the UK.

Mr Harper was widely tipped to make a swift return to government after impressing the Prime Minister with his handling of the embarrassment over his cleaner.

The Forest MP has been made minister of state under Iain Duncan-Smith in what is said to be the biggest public service department in the UK.
