FOUR piece band the English Immigrants have won a place in the semi finals of the Yorkley Bailey Inn's £1,500 open mic competition.
Band members Tom, Steve, Simon and Matt said they were ecstatic at winning and enjoyed their pizza prize.
They were formed in early 2006 and say they have worked extremely hard over the past few years and made many changes to get the right dynamics.
The band now has a one in twelve chance of winning the top prize of £1,500 or second prize of a day recording at Sound Space Studios in Cinderford.
