ADULTS and staff in supported living accommodation in Cinderford were targeted by a knife-wielding man just after Christmas, police have said.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: “We were called at 21.53 on December 28 to a supported living property in Cinderford where a man was reported to be carrying a knife and threatening to harm staff and residents.
“Armed response vehicles were deployed to provide safe containment and officers negotiated a safe resolution without injury or incident. A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon at the property. He has been bailed to Cinderford police station on January 16.”
