AFTER a succesful launch at a fun day in August, 'Action in Mitcheldean' is looking for even more people to help improve the future of the town.

First they want a thorough survey of local views on some of the ideas already suggested including:

•More facilities for young people;

•Better parking and public transport;

•Reduced litter and dog waste;

•Improvements to the play area.

A spokesman said: "We had a great time at the fun day and all that energy has turned into action.

"We're planning to start delivering the full survey round the village on Saturday October 29, starting at 10am in the Town Hall, and we're having a social event before then on the Monday to plan it all."

The event on Monday October 24 will start at 7pm, and everyone is very welcome to attend and find out what's happening. There will be light refreshments.
