MR REEVE'S letter to you last week makes no sense. On one hand he claims that fox-hunting is a useful tool in the fight against a vicious pest, he then goes on to say that most of the foxes survive the hunt anyway, so in that case what's the point apart from providing dubious entertainment for a few hooray Henrys.

The idea that bloodsports are not just the domain of the better off is, quite frankly, ludicrous. I would have thought that the cost of purchase and upkeep of a hunting steed would be out of the reach of most of us, or was William the Conqueror on income support!

No, Mr Morgan, of Drybrook, you are right. He must be joking!
