CANNABIS plants with an estimated street value of over £10,000 were discovered in a police raid at a Lydney address on Thursday.

Gloucestershire Police were investigating reports that cannabis was being grown at the property in Lakeside Avenue.

A witness told the police that they had seen different people visiting the address at various times of the day, but it appeared that no one was staying there permanently.

When the police arrived at the scene on February 2, they found that 21 mature plants were being grown in a professional manner in the house that had been converted with an adapted electrical supply and a recently built partition wall.

Enquiries are still ongoing, and so far, no arrests have been made. If anybody has any further information they are asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quote incident number of 152 of February 2.
