A 41-YEAR-OLD man has died after being struck by a van near Staunton during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

The driver of the white Ford Transit, a 37-year-old man from the Newent area, was uninjured.

Emergency services and investigators both attended the scene on the A417.

The road is still closed while investigations continue. Police are appealing for any witnesses other than those already spoken to, to call Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 37 of June 28.
