MASKED burglars broke into a convenience store in Bream on Wednesday night (March 8) and stole a quantity of cigarettes.

The intruders broke in through a side door at the Maypole Stores on Coleford Road at around 10.45pm, about an hour and a quarter after it had closed for the night.

Gloucestershire Police is asking anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident 53 of March 9.

The store is located on the site of the former Maypole Garage and opened in December.
