POLICE left empty-handed after carrying out a drugs raid in Lydney last Friday afternoon.

There was a heavy police presence outside the house on Bream Road but police left without any items.

A passing motorist said: "The police must have spent at least two hours raiding the property as they were there when I went to Coleford and came back to Lydney."
