GLORIOUS autumn sunshine greeted a bevy of vintage ploughmen who turned up to compete at an Antique Power Group Vintage Club competition in Tidenham last Sunday (October 16).
"It was a lovely day and for once it didn't rain, which makes a change," says club treasurer, Sandra Whitehouse from Caldicot, who has obviously seen plenty of wet afternoons on open tractors ploughing through sodden sods.
Peter Kitchen won the Colin Humphreys Best Open Award.
Phil Meek won the classic overall points on the day.
Tony Bradley won the Hydraulics.
Keith Williams won the Ferguson class.
In total 27 ploughmen took part in the competition on fields owned by Richard Bradley off Miss Grace's Lane.
