POLICE are appealing for information after a driver failed to stop following a collision last Friday in Coleford.

The incident took place on High Nash at around 1.45pm and involved a parked red Renault and a passing blue Ford Fiesta.

The victim’s Renault was parked up when one of the passengers tried to open the rear nearside passenger door, which was hit by the other car.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "It’s thought that the Ford was approaching at speed.

"The passenger attempted to shut the car door but the nearside wing mirror of the Fiesta hit the rear nearside passenger door of the Renault before carrying on, leaving parts of the Fiesta’s damaged wing mirror at the scene."

The Fiesta was later seen in the area heading towards High Nash and Old Station Way.

Witnesses or anyone who can identify the driver and car involved are asked to call police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting incident 255 of 2 February.
