POLICE are investigating the theft of around £300 from a social club in a night-time break-in.

The fire door of the Severn View Social Club and Institute in Caldicot’s Station Road was forced open just before 2am on Monday, November 6.

Two black metal boxes containing £1 coins, totalling around £300, were stolen in the raid.
