A TRIO of Forest girls raised £120 for UK charity Water Aid on Sunday, with a stall at Tintern Old Station.
Scarlet Hallett (aged nine), Izzy (aged 12) and Helena Daly (aged nine) made a range of gifts, from knitted toys and decorated t-shirts to fabric bags and handmade beads and jewellery to sell.
Scarlet’s mum, Ruth said: “The girls heard about Water Aid’s work to provide clean water and toilets across the world last year. They held an event last summer and their efforts have raised nearly £300 in total. This year alone they’ve raised enough to drill a deep well. We’re so proud of their hard work and would like to thank Old Station for letting them run the stall.”
