THE owners of a Cinderford off-licence have cashed up for the last time after 26 years.

Lyn and Eddie Carpenter run the Bristol House Stores 'Coca Cola shop' along Church Road, and shut up after the Easter break to retire.

He said: "We are both at retirement age and want to spend more time with the family and particularly our grandchildren.

"We would like to thank all our suppliers, staff and customers for their wonderful support over the years. Special thanks to Marlene and Mike Weaving, Phyllis Beddis, Terry Peates and Roy Manns for their tremendous efforts in supporting us and our families."

It is understood the shop will be taken over by Mr Sri Kantharajah and his family.
