FOLLOWING PMQs on Wednesday March 7, many of your readers will have watched and listened to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee debate.

There were many superb and sometimes humorous contributions from all sides of the House, reminding us how very fortunate we are.

How discourteous it was therefore that very many MPs left the chamber early in the debate.

What possible excuse could they have, given that they are all obliged to swear allegiance to the Crown?
