SIR David Attenborough popped into Chepstow for a second time last week, attracting crowds of fans and wildlife enthusiasts eager to meet him and buy his latest book.
The TV natural history programme presenter and author was at the Chepstow Bookshop where he signed copies of New Life Stories and chatted with store staff and visitors.
At times long queues built up almost to the end of the street outside the shop, said owner Matt Taylor, while fortunately rain failed to materialise despite a threatening sky.
"We only had him for a little while this time but he signed around 300 books in just over an hour," said Matt.
"We can only hope he'll come and see us again. I think he quite likes it here and he actually did a part of the Wye Valley Walk back in 1946!"
