PEACOCKS have taken up residence in a garden in the centre of Bream – and they show no signs of wanting to move on.

Nigel Wright had a surprise when he looked out into his garden in Bowson Road on Sunday morning and saw four of the colourful birds.

He said: "I've got no idea where they came from. They just arrived on Sunday and they've been here since.

"I've been in touch with the RSPCA but they didn't seem interested.

"We've been feeding them because you can't see them go hungry. They're the talk of the road.

"They go up and down the gardens and they're nesting on next door's car port.

"They're really pretty and I like them. They're not aggressive – our cat has been out and they haven't taken much notice."
