N reply to the letter from Cllr Mike Meredith Edwards about the menace of sheep.
I'm in my 30's, born and raised in the Forest, when will people realise that the sheep have ben roaming for a very long time? It's something called tradition.
I was always told that it was a Forester's right to do this. Do people forget what happened a few years ago when the sheep weren't here? How many said that the Forest wasn't the same?
I would think that the sheep have been in the Forest a lot longer that Cllr Edwards. As for the £200 damage to the fruit trees, if Mr Edwards can't secure his garden gate and fix the holes in his hedge that's his problem. Do what everyone else does Mr Edwards, like it and live with it. It's not the sheep that are the problem.
