I CANNOT for the life of me see why the Government is not pushing for tidal power. Turbines on the sea-bed would be the answer to all our energy needs.

We have an unlimited source of power all around our coast (the second highest rise and fall in the world).

I understand that the initial cost is very high but once installed they should cost very little. They would be out of sight, unlike those wind turbines, which are next to useless – only useful to the landowners of the sites who are making fortunes.

I make this prediction! They will come eventually, it may take a few years but they will come. It is the most logical answer to our energy needs.
