THE Royal Oak in Whitecroft held its annual fun dog show on Saturday.

Organised by Lottie Cooper of Rover’s Mobile Dog Grooming, the event attracted a large crowd and around 30 to 40 dogs took part in the show.

Classes for the show included ‘Cutest Pup’, ‘Golden Oldie’, ‘Waggiest Tail’, ‘Best Crossbreed’ and ‘The David Award’. Lottie introduced the final class in memory of a close friend who loved dogs and it was judged by his family.

The Royal Oak’s landlord, Chas Phipps said: “Former Crufts judge Sue Ader provided all the agility equipment for use at the show and local people donated over 50 prizes for the raffle.

“It was a great day and the children loved the bouncy castle and activities. We had plenty of stalls, a barbecue and rounded the event off with a disco in the evening.”

Money raised at the event will go to Dogs Trust and Diabetes UK.
