A 42-YEAR-OLD Birmingham woman has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder after an alleged late night stabbing incident at Chepstow train station. The charge relates to an incident shortly after 11pm on Sunday, April 15, in which a woman in her 40s was injured.

British Transport Police said the alleged victim’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Lisa Savage of Weoley Park Road, Birmingham was remanded in custody by Newport Magistrates on Tuesday (April 17) and will appear again in court on May 15.

Chepstow Station is operated by Arriva Trains Wales and is part of the Gloucester to Newport Line.
