THERE'S a big day coming up for the Children's Opportunity Centre when it holds its annual fun day on Saturday (July 2).

The fun day is the centre's biggest fundraising event of the year – important for a charity relying almost entirely on sponsorship and donations. 

Entertainment will include music from Lydney Training Band, visits from the fire brigade and police and a variety of stalls and activities like skittles, tombolas, stocks, raffle, milk the cow, plants and much more.

Paula Smith from the centre says: "Preparations for the event are well underway, but we would appreciate help in sourcing donations for some of our stalls including plants, cakes, tins and bottles, teddies, toys and children's books.
