I WOULD like to thank the people of Cinderford and district for supporting the parade and service on Remembrance Sunday in?Cinderford, and also the many organisations and their leaders who took part in the service. It was a magnificent turn-out on a beautiful, sunny day and it was good to see so many children taking part.

This year was the first Remembrance service for the Rev Mike Barnsley of St Stephen's Church, which was conducted perfectly. The Cinderford Band, under the leadership of Clive Lewis, once again provided the excellent accompaniment.

Thank-you all for taking the time to remember the men and women who gave their lives in the service of the country.
