HERE we go again. Cinderford's High Street is being dug-up, shut off for five weeks.
Okay, the folk who live there started to prepare for the disruption, eg changing journeys and adding on extra time for work journeys etc, only to find that Valley Road, one of the main exit roads, is also having work done on it, causing long tailbacks. Never mind, by some miracle if you manage to get to the shops (eg the Co-op) you can be sure they'll get you there with another set of lights.
Oh, and just to add insult to injury, a letter from Severn-Trent has just been put through the letterbox telling us our water will be cut off from Thursday to Sunday between the hours of 8am-6pm.
So do forgive my ever so slightly negative overview, but in the circumstances I don't think that it is so unjustified, do you? And, maybe, if the powers-that-be with all their high technology could just communicate with each other a little more perhaps all this chaos could have been averted. – Frustrated (Name and address supplied).
