The 11.17 on Sunday morning of March 13 arrived eventually at 11.33 with only one carriage.
It appeared that approximately 40 people at Lydney attempted to board, mostly wearing Gloucester rugby colours.
Only half were successful in boarding the sardine can on wheels. The remainder took to their cars to make the match.
It appears very disappointing that the managers of Arriva Wales cannot anticipate any predictable extra rail usage.
