THIS is not a new subject by any means, but unfortunately remains as much as ever a problem which can and does impact on people's quality of life.
A particularly obnoxious stench regularly pollutes the air predominantly around the Bream,?Brockhollands area, sometimes even reaching the extremities of Lydney.
I have spoken at length to my colleague Cllr Georgina Bensted, who represents Bream, on this issue and indeed she has received complaints from many local residents. The Environment Agency have now given Cllr Bensted a freephone number to enable people to register their concerns/complaints directly 0800 80 70 60.
This is not by any means a natural countryside aroma, and is undoubtedly aided by another historically flawed planning decision.
What is sure is that mother nature is not responsible for this putrid smell, and this is one instance where you certainly don't need 'Tunes' to help you breathe more easily!
0800 80 70 60. – Cllr Alan Preest, Lydney North.
