WHEN roads in Cinderford such as Valley Road and Victoria Street are crying out to be resurfaced, I would like to know who the clever person was who decided it was a good idea to rip up a perfectly good road surface in the High Street and replace it with block work?

Not only did the work cause a great deal of congestion to the centre of the town it must have cost a huge amount of money.

Everyone I have spoken to questions why it was necessary and what a waste of money it was when the parking bays were fine as they were. Then there are the two cycle parking areas.

How many people ride cycles in Cinderford? I don't think they will get much use and certainly will not generate the growth our town needs. Whatever the cost. I'm sure the people of Cinderford would have wanted the money spent more wisely.
