THE LYDNEY Old Grammarians Association met for the annual general meeting and summer event at Viney Hill Sports and Social Club on June 20.
Both the event and AGM were well attended and supported. The treasurer took us through the accounts for the past year which were satisfactory and passed unanimously. There followed a vote of thanks to the treasurer.
After the re-election en bloc of the chairman and the committee plus one new member there was a further vote of thanks to the manager and her staff who had provided such delicious food.
It was agreed that this year's summer format of morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea was very successful and will be followed next year.
A film of various sporting events and school camp from the school's past was shown and greatly enjoyed by everyone. It is anticipated that the newsletter will be with members before the next event which will be in October.
