THE Review reported last week on the plans of a TV personality, Kate Humble, to make a tourist attraction at an ancient, unspoilt farm in Penallt.

Kate Humble, as a strong advocate of British nature, plans a tourist attraction centre on the farm in Penallt bringing up to 30,000 visitors each year. This wealthy woman's plans will ruin a so far unspoilt rural idyll; a farm maintained to the highest standards by its tenant, until his retirement last year.

Kate Humble doesn't even plan to live there, presumably because she doesn't fancy life in the heart of a tourist attraction either.

Kate seems not to have the courage of her convictions. This is not a case of "Kate to the rescue", it's a case of Kate putting hundreds of years of tradition at risk or "Kate in the face of nature."

Isn't the £300k discount, on market value that the council is considering, the money of the county's people and council tax payers? Is it right to gift it to a TV star?
