ANGEL-May Powell and Mr Holder from Coalway Junior School are getting ready for Wear it Beat it Day today (Friday, February 4).
IT’S Wear it, Beat it Day is all about raising money for life-saving research into heart disease.
Angel has mitral valve prolapse and has to take regular medication for her condition.
She and her family have been raising money for the British Heart Foundation for several years.
Mum Claire said: "This is Angel’s last year at Coalway before she starts on a new journey at senior school.
"We are so proud of her and so grateful the school supports the charity."
Staff at Chepstow Leisure Centre are wearing red today to support Wear it, Beat it in memory of former colleague Neil Allmark who died suddenly of a heart condition.
People will be invited to take part in a 15 minute exercise bike session and a quiz will be held this evening with a maximum of 10 teams.
Teams will be restricted to six members and should arrive at 6.30pm for a start at 7pm. Entry forms are available from Chepstow Leisure Centre – cost is £10 per team.
