I AM angry at Amanda's latest long, inaccurate Asda rant. Just how many supermarkets does a small town need?

People like me are delighted to be able to shop in a bright, friendly central store – maybe choose to have things delivered then home on the bus, free to do what I want. That's the Co-op.

If others with cars, and time and money to waste and no social conscience want to do otherwise, they will. Morrison's at Ross is their best bet.

So why trail small children around the town in the search for cheap food? Where is the money for the fun day coming from? Triology perhaps?
