STUDENTS at Chepstow School put on a well-received production of Beauty And The Beast.
As well as acting, pupils from Year Seven to the Sixth form provided the live orchestra and took on many other roles.
Two Year 11 students, Megan Marsh – who played Cogsworth – and Rebecca Ham – Lumiere – also choreographed the show.
Rosie Hathaway as Belle and Harry Lewis as Beast both took on lead characters in a school show for the first time.
Producer Mr Rhidian Phillips said: “It’s students such as these which make shows so unique at Chepstow.”
Other main cast members included Carys Curwood as Mrs Potts, Luca Goddard as Gaston, Sophie Allen as Babette, Jessica Ham as Chip and Bethan Taylor as Lefou.
The show was directed by Miss Natalie Jones with Mr Simon Hendry as musical director.
The set was designed and created by Mr Tim Smith with artwork by Miss Emily Powell.
Mr Phillips added: “With various other staff supporting with costume, make up, publicity and ticket sales, this show, like every other year, is a huge team effort.”
