BAND player Ben Stratford, 14, from Parkend, came back from the Oxford and District Brass Band Festival with four trophies for his baritone playing.
He scooped awards for 12 - 14 Slow Melody, the under-19s Junior Championships, the Open Solo Championships and Best Boy under-15.
Ben attends Whitecross School and is a member of Parkend Silver Band and Forest of Dean Brass.
He also helped out Lydbrook Band at their Proms Concert at the Forest Theatre on Saturday where the well-known euphonium virtuoso David Childs also played.
