BREAM were left to lick their wounds after this comprehensive eight wicket hammering by neighbouring Yorkley.
"It was a bad day at the office," conceded Bream captain Chris Farr.
"We did nothing right and were bowled out for a very low total. We don't often lose at Bream but we have no excuses," he said.
Bream have been on a tricky wicket for some time. A lack of commitment from the players forced the club out of the County League. However hopes are high they can regroup and field a stronger team in the Forest League.
"It obviously means less travelling. We have been badly hit by players with work commitments but we are hoping more players will join us now all our games are local," said Farr.
Bream's poor start was briefly improved by a partnership between Tom Pass and skipper Farr.
Pass offered Bream a fighting chance with a fine knock of 31 but only Farr could stay with him and his knock of 10 was Bream's second highest score. They were eventually dismissed for a dismal 80 with Ben Homer leading Yorkley's charge and taking two wickets.
Homer proceeded to rip into the Bream bowlers, batting throughout his team's innings for a splendid 38 not out. With just two wickets down they passed Bream's total for a convincing win.
