POLICE are investigating after a body was discovered in a field in Tutshill yesterday (Thursday).

Local people reported a large police presence in what is known locally as the Windmill field near Mopla Road.

A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Police said a contractor working in the area reported finding the body at around 3pm.

She said: "The circumstances of the death are currently being treated as unexplained.

"A scene guard remains in place at this time."
