ANALYSIS of human remains found in a Chepstow quarry showed they were those of Margaret Llewelyn, who disappeared from her home in Bulwark nearly 14 years ago.

Gwent Police opened an investigation after remains were found in Beaufort Quarry between Garden City and Bulwark on Wednesday, February 24.

Specially-trained officers are supporting members of her family and the investigation is continuing.

Mrs Llewelyn, who was 53 at the time of her disappearance, went missing from her home in Middle Way, Bulwark on May 6, 2002.
