LYDNEY sadly doesn't have many lovely old buildings.

I was not happy this morning to see a large political banner draped down the side of the old police station, which, together with the myriad of advertising banners in the windows, are really spoiling the appearance of this splendid example of Victorian architecture.

I believe it is one of Lydney's few listed buildings and, as such, an important part of the history of the town.  

Does anyone else mind about this?
